October 3rd: Fall 2021 Hunter Pace

The results are in! Thank you to everyone who came out on Sunday to enjoy our Hunter Pace and support the hounds.

Thank you for your interest in the ONBH Fall Hunter Pace on October 3rd at Red Rail Farm in Lincoln, Massachusetts. This is one of our favorite hunt territories which takes you through Thoreau’s Walden Woods, includes views of Fairhaven Bay, and has amazing jumps.

Entry Fee – $60 per rider.

For those of you unfamiliar with hunter paces, teams of up to three riders will cover a course of 6 to 7 miles over varying terrain. Several natural jumps will be available, and there are easy paths around all jumps if you choose not to take them.

The three divisions are:

  • Fences: For riders intending to jump all jumps
  • Pick and Choose: For riders who choose to take select jumps
  • Leisure: For riders who do not intend to jump and would like to take a more leisurely pace

Ribbons for first through tenth place will be awarded based on closeness to a predetermined optimal time for each division. First place (blue ribbon) winners will also be awarded the opportunity to join us at no charge for one of our hunts.

COVID-19 protocol for masks and social distancing will be in effect while unmounted. Masks can be removed while riding. Trailers will be directed to park so that social distancing will be maintained. If you bring your own lunch, please have it at your trailer.

Please bring water for your horses. We will provide beverages to riders.
